It’s BC Construction Month and we’re celebrating being a part of building British Columbia and Western Canada! Since our early days, our dedicated teams have worked tirelessly to deliver projects that support communities and industries across our beautiful province.
It began with a single waterline project in the Kootenays in 1922. From there, Dawson quickly grew into a key player in British Columbia’s construction industry. We built landmark structures like the Burrard Street Bridge and Granville Street Bridge in Vancouver, as well as highways through the Fraser Canyon and Kicking Horse Pass. Our expertise extended beyond roads and bridges, encompassing industrial developments and major infrastructure projects that helped shape the province.

As we continue to grow, our commitment to excellence remains steadfast, reinforcing our dedication to safety, innovation, and quality workmanship. Recent projects include spillway and dam enhancements, road realignments, and highway expansions. We have also contributed to major infrastructure developments, such as the construction of commercial facilities, managing everything from site preparation to utility installations, and essential water facility upgrades.

Dawson’s contribution to road maintenance is yet another critical aspect of our work. We provide road maintenance and emergency construction services across four key regions of British Columbia, including the South and Central Cariboo, the North Peace, and the Bulkley-Nass.
As we celebrate BC Construction Month, we honour the hard work of our teams and partners who continue to drive our success. Here’s to the past, present, and future of construction in British Columbia!
